The Cats Guide To Grief

Hi, My name is Rita.

I started my day off with a sad event.

My Mom and I had a stray tom cat who had been with us for almost 2 yrs and we had taken care of him for all that time. He was gray and white, he kind of reminded us of "Scar" from the Lion King, only he was the most sweetest and humble cat in the whole world. We loved him a lot.

I was going to work on Monday morning and I found him in the road, just out from our house.

Someone had hit him with their car.

I moved him out of the road way with tears in my eyes and wrapped a little bag I had around his body. I cried most of the day off and on.

The worst part is, My folks are on vacation and when my mom gets back on thursday I have to tell her what happened. It was a terrible loss and we will miss "TOM" forever.

Thanks for listening.

Rita
